Looking up at the Stars is a straight cardboard jigsaw puzzle on tight Japanese board with a matte print. The Pokémon licence gives us flat bright colour fields — easy to look at, awkward to sort. 1000 pieces put this at the top of our range — five to eleven hours of table time for one person.

Turn every piece face up before joining anything and pull the edges as you go. The sorting pass feels like dead time and saves more than any other habit. People who follow Pokémon tend to pick this up with one other jigsaw set.
