Illuminated by The Moon is paper theater, the format we invented: die-cut layers, no knife, a diorama at the end. Totoro is the deepest licence we hold, and we draw the artwork from the film's painted backgrounds rather than from promotional keys.

Work over a tray, keep the waste frames for their numbers, and glue one tab at a time. The whole thing goes faster with tweezers than with fingers. We keep it with the rest of our paper theater work, next to the other My Neighbor Totoro releases.

    Adorable

THIS WAS SUPER ADORABLE! I wish they were a little bit more cheaper so that I could buy more. These are easy to make even if youre not an artsy person. They have very detailed directions and you just have to do then the exact same way as they tell you.

So much fun to assemble and looks great when finished!

This is the first time I put one of these together and it won't be the last. This one took me about an hour to cut, glue and assemble and it turned out great! I happened to have glow-in-the-dark glue so his eyes glow in the dark!

Great project to do with friends or family

I got three different designs, one of which was this one. This one is really simple and I was able to finish it within a few minutes and didn’t need an exacto knife to get into the small connections thanks to its simplicity.
